I’ve never seen the US confront a worthwhile opponent so I don’t really know how they would react… sorry but it seems they only ever pick on 3rd world defenseless countries!

The point is GR, is that the bar is so high for Israel, and so low for others. Israel must almost completely eradicate its enemies to consider itself victorious; where Hizbollah merely consider 'surviving and inflicting some damage' a victory. Like I said, it depends how you define victory. The IDF does not/did not look like a defeated force to me. Although I accept it was an unsuccessful mission.

Israel in Lebanon is like a wolf eating a hedgehog. Lets see how many more times Israel attempts to invade Lebanon. Then you will have your answer.

They just got attacked so I suspect quite soon, rockets will be flying. The question is will israel invade Lebanon some time soon. Judging by how many tanks and soldiers they lost, I think not.

Turkey is a much more worthwhile military opponent than say the US' last odd ten opponents like... Panama, Grenada, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. Americans just don’t like getting hurt…
