I strongly encourage everyone to read through all 5 pages of posts of that thread. My goodness…

GR, why cant these forumers see your sense of humour? Put them out of their misery and tell them its a wind-up.

How can it possibly be a wind up Deniz? Dozens of authors from all over the world have conducted their independent research and end up agreeing that modern Greeks are full of shit about so many things…

All these experts who have nothing to gain are wrong yet the Greeks who have so much to lose are right?

Ergo you are the Greatest Greek of the lot of us!

None of us posted books by Greeks! Why would Berkeley Professors produce pro-Greek propaganda? We abided by your CREDIBLE EVIDENCE guidelines!

GR,

Have you read what evidence has been posted against you in this thread? Obviously not. Very little (if any) has been written by Greeks. How about these:

A. R. Burn, Alexander the Great and the Hellenistic Empire, Macmillan, 1948; George Cawkwell, Philip of Macedon, Faber & Faber, London, 1978; Francois Chamoux, Hellenistic Civilization, Blackwell Publishing Professional, 2002; Victor Ehrenberg, The Greek State, Methuen, (July 2000); Malcolm Errington, A History of Macedonia, University of California Press, February 1993; Alan Fildes and Joann Fletcher, Alexander the Great: Son of the Gods, Getty Trust Publications, J. Paul Getty Museum, 2004; John V.A. Fine, The Ancient Greeks: A Critical History, Harvard University Press, 1983; Robin Lane Fox, Alexander the Great; Jonathan M. Hall, Ethnic Identity in Greek Antiquity, Cambridge University Press, 1998; N G L Hammond, A History of Greece to 323 BC, Cambridge University, 1986; Archer Jones, The Art of War in Western World (University of Illinois Press, 2000); Robin Osborne, Greek History, Routledge, 2004; Jacques Pirenne, The Tides of History Vol. 1, E. P. Dutton, 1962; Michael M. Sage, Warfare in Ancient Greece, Routledge; Chester G. Starr, A History of the Ancient World, Oxford University Press, 1991; Hilding Thylander, Den Grekiska världen, (Svenska humanistiska förbundet, 1985); Arnold J. Toynbee, The Greeks and Their Heritages, Oxford University Press, 1981; Ulrich Wilcken, Alexander the Great; Ian Worthington, Alexander the Great, Routledge, 2002.

How about the world's museums, which Lit provided many links for earlier? What about all the other links we posted including genetic evidence from Oracle? Admit it, you haven't got a leg to stand on.

You can’t use CyProb guidelines (there’s no international law involved) to research such a huge and complex issue!

The stuff you lot posted is just contemporary lightweight crap quoting each other! Look at those years of issue!

Fancy Greece telling the Cypriots all these years that they're Slav!

The publish dates range from the 1940s up until the 21st century, what is your point? These publishers (such as Oxford University Press and Cambridge University) are world famous and hugely respected, unlike the FYROM crap that you post.
