Prices in 2009

Postby ken19 » Wed Apr 08, 2009 3:18 pm

We are returning to Cyprus again this year after a two year absence.
We will be staying in self catering apartment around the Tomb of the Kings road, so we will be out and about eating and drinking.
Could anyone give us the average prices out and about Pafos area.
i.e. Beer, spirits, wine, meals, car hire trips out.
All information I have found is all two years old.

Any recommendations too would be great.

Thanks

Remortgage your house Ken.

Cyprus now adopts the Euro and since then there has been an increase in price on the above. Also, with the Sterling being so poor against the Euro makes it alot more expensive for Brits.

For hire cars take a look at Elephant Rent a Car in Paphos. They are always competitve and helpful

i think for 'budget' it will be €5-10 for 'good food' you'd be looking at €15-20, for 'fine dining' €30-50, on top of that you need to add drinks which obviously varies greatly on what you order! A large bottle of local lager with table service could set you back €2.50 to €3.50, and a small bottle of Budweiser was coming in at €2 where i ate recently.

Have a browse through www.paphos-eating.com, some reviews have prices in them to give an indication.
