It was by far a nicer place when we rode on donkeys instead of cars driven by bloody lunatics , when we ate meat once in a blue moon , when we were poor and emigrated in droves to the UK mostly , it was indeed a great place to live when our hospitals , our civil amenities were very much a third world spectacle.
Yes it was great , but our entry into the EU is by far the greatest ever achievement of this little island of ours .
Just think if Cyprus was in the EU in 1974 ......

Tomorrow me and OH celebrate our 3rd Anniversary of living in Cyprus, I can say honestly and truthfully say being British and Iranian we consider ourselves lucky and fortunate to live here

Having just spent Christmas in the Troodos we are still finding breathtaking corners that we did,nt know existed people who are exceptionally warm and kind and we have a lifestyle that others envy.

Forget any problems for today, we just want to say we won,t be leaving yet, we would be mad to do so Some of us make a go of it enjoy the whole experience and are very glad to be able to live in Cyprus and to echo another member although I,m far to old to say this 'Whoop Whoop'.

Have got some pics to post but need to resize so give me a little time to sort them out, we stayed near Agros, had we had a little snow I think I would have would have been in heaven. Don,t start me talking about the food what can I say except please stop serving me with it as I love it far far too much
