Dear all forum users,
we are a young couple from who wishes a nice (yet not expensive) travel holiday to your country.

I have checked the Internet and it seems that there are a lot of nice place, but two of them seemed the most interesting: Ayia Napa and Protaras.

Now: what we wish is to rent a small place (apartment would be nice) in one of these places which would offer:

- location: the closest to the beach, the better
- beach has to be sandy and with shallow waters
- rooms: clean
- quiet location

It doesn't matter if they offer food (we like to try different places to eat), it doesn't need to be a 5-star hotel (no need for luxury) - just quiet, beach, clean.

I have seen some offers but I don't know which one to choose, so please help me.

One other thing: it is cheaper to book online or to book from a local travel agency which may have better prices?

Ah, we want to go to Cyprus mid-September.

Waiting for your replies,
best wishes to all!

You might find the following useful. This is the accomodation guide from the official Cyprus Tourism Organisation.

Thank you for the information provided. It's a lot of data and it make it even more hard to decide. :)

What is the recommendation for the specified zones (Ayia Napa / Protaras) in order to find what we need (cleanness, quietness, close to sandy beach)?

Regards,
Andrei

From what I understand, you if are looking for a quiet place, then Ayia Napa should be out as it's not quiet at all. If your other choice is Protaras then the Silver Sands will be a good choice IMO.

Try Mimosa Beach Hotel who also have some apartments. They are in Protaras at the Capo Greko end, with a lovely sandy beach.
