Sale of Turkish Land to GCs in Larnaca

Can anyone clear the point about the sale of Turkish land in Larnaca - no hearsay or waffle please! I mean I am not asking for opinions but facts if anyone really has first hand info abt the subject.

So far as I have heard although all purchase of houses/land from TCs by the GCs in the South have been stopped/not allowed, EXCEPT houses/land owned in Larnaca district. Hence the sale of the land in this part is free. Am I correct in understanding this to be the true state of affairs at this time?

That is it with this forum! Everyone has an opinion to air and it is always better that the other pne (typical CYPRIOT GENES). No one seems to be able to face facts... :D

You can sell your land immediately if you were living outside of the island before and after 1974 otherwise you have to show 6 month residency in the south and go through GC courts to get your property back.

Thanks for that viewpoint! It is a good friend who has been living with family in London like many others since the 1963 attacks on TCs. They have deeds for their house in Larnaca dated 1962 - I was given a copy of it to help them sell it on my return to the island. :)
