New Radical Solution Version 2

Propose and discuss specific solutions to aspects of the Cyprus Problem

New Radical Solution Version 2

Postby Nickp » Fri Jun 17, 2005 2:16 pm

I propose this:

Settlers Stay
TC's keep what ever land/property they have aquired in the North.
Settlers will get ROC citizenship and EU status along with TC's.

In Exchange:

Cyprus becomes a GC state with a TC admin to handle there communities day to day affairs as a non greek speaking minority.
All Turkish troops must leave within 3 years.

I think you've managed the impossible, managed to produce a settlement unacceptable to both communities... geez...

We're looking for forward steps here...

Cypriots on both sides need to expand their minds!

At the moment you both have the thinking of donkeys!

Since I'm not a Cypriot, your line of argument is slightly faulty... in fact, your proposal is unacceptable not just to Cypriots but to all people who take even the slightest interest in the Cyprus problem... now that's a feat.

Do the GC use the above word? If they do, I wonder how Orthodox Church is not against that usage, as it has strong Islamic connotations...

Never heard any GCs I know use it... then again, I've never heard any rationale GCs (or TCs for that matter) propose 'solutions' like Nickp's half-baked concepts, so I guess he's unique.

Cannedmoose, as you are not of Cypriot extraction i would advise you to take your 'do gooder' objective opinions to other conflicts such as Iraq and Israil and leave us cypriots to bicker amongst our petty half baked solution ideas.

And just for your note, if you knew anything of Cypriots you would find that we use lots of Turkish words and Greek words in each others Language. That's why we have a particular dialect compared to the mother countries! and Mashala is one of them!! So don't give me you haven't heard it befofe unless your speaking that ponsy mainland Greek, mishimou!!!
