Searching for a Football Club to play for in Cyprus

Postby AndrewUrwin » Tue Jun 02, 2009 7:47 pm

Hi everyone, I am new to the forum. I am looking for a new football club outside of England and would ideally like to play in Cyprus.

I am looking for a well ran club but obviously I realise that im not going to just walk into a Premier League team and would actually prefer to start in a lower division.

I am 23 years old approx 5 8' and weight approx 9.5 stone.

My favoured playing position is right back but can play anywhere.

I have played with the following professional clubs in England: Kettering Town FC, Coventry City, Leicester City
I play professionally in Belgium for FC Montegnee. Our latest game being against Standard Liege where we drew 1 -1.
I have also just attended a trial at Newcastle United (English Premier League) this week.

Recently (In the last 3 months & ongoing) Birkirkara FC, Vittoriosa Stars, Nadur Youngsters and Chirag United have all shown an interest in my services.

I am looking for football trials at any clubs any of you may have connections with. I am just keen to get sorted with a new club as soon as possible, ready for next season.

Hope some of you can help me, Ill await your replies.

Thanks

Andrew

There was no answer everytime I tried to call the club, so I have sent them an email via their website.

Do you think they will be able to understand English? As i am unsure as to how widely spoken it is on the island.

Any more help and replies would be great, please keep them coming.

Thanks again

Andrew

Sorry, the last game I was there for was in January 2009 when we played against Standard Liege (which ended 1-1)

Just twigged on could have been worded better, thanks for pointing that out though.

haha just looked at that squad list, theres about 10 of those players no longer at the club either. Think they need to update that as well.

There was at least 3 or 4 players who decided to leave in January when I did as well, but they seem to be still on there.

Thanks for the link mate.

Just going to have to try and decipher it now and find the contact email addresses.

Will these clubs be ok to recieve an email written in English?
