Honesty is the best policy... if you think someone's talking s**t, tell them.

I think that's what happens here anyway since most of the members are not socially related...

I agree mete, if I actually knew someone I would approach things differently.

It depends on the individual. If I generally respect what they say and they have a track record of good contributions, if I disagree I will phrase my contention in a certain way. If however, someone has demonstrated a lack of respect for others, or a point of view that has no base in reality, I will phrase my disagreement more vehemently.

i am generaly very diplomatic,i am sure many of you have already figured this out. sometimes i prefer not to post the truth bc it might hurt some people. usually in these cases i prefer not to post instead of posting something i dont believe.

Precisely, bro. In fact I've not long been talking about The Cyprus Problem and I've realised that it's more the main-land Turks as opposed to Turkish-Cypriots that are hated by the Greek race, and I fail to make it clear. People (including myself previously) don't distinguish the difference between Turkish-Cypriots and Turks. I will get on with Turkish-Cypriots of course, I don't have any reason to not get along with them (well I do, but do you get my drift ?).

Through this site and the members I am gradually coming to accept the Turkish-Cypriot residents as Cypriots as much as Greek-Cypriots. I've still not as of yet fully accepted everything, and I think the reason for this is when I hear that Turkish-Cypriots have violated, tortured, beaten and murdered Greek-Cypriots since they arrived some centuries ago, and the fact it still happened right up till 1974.

For those of you who call ym teacher mad, well I see her tomorrow so I'll ask her about some of the things she said to me a few months back. SHe's from Thessalonica in Greece so I can only assume that she knows enough about the situation in Cyprus.

Leon.
