Christmas in Cyprus

Postby gemini » Sun Aug 09, 2009 2:17 pm

We are planning to spend christmas in Cyprus for the first time and are looking for any recommendations for a hotel preferably not one of these huge (impersonal) hotels that does fantastic christmas day dinner.

We are open to offers and are not restricted to any area as we have not booked any travel arrangements yet.

We will consider HB accommodation or alternatively BB and a good restaurant for christmas day.

Thank you

I stayed at the Cynthiana over the New year period and was very impressed. It is not massive and they actually have Greek Cypriot staff. Be prepared to mix and dance with many Greek Cypriots staying there.
I may return for the next New Year.

Larnaca does not close up for winter, it is busy all year, not just toursist, there are a number of hotels on the East side of Larnaca, the Princess is good, or if you want go BB then why not get and apartment, there are plenty for rent at good rate over Christmas,
The Corfu Tavern in Oroklini does a great Christmas day, last year is was €50 per head but that is from 12:30 on wards and includes all your drinks (not just local) and a three coarse cavalry dinner

I do know of a few poeple who do holdiay rental, so let me know if this is of interest to you.
