Well...lets say that they did build it (which I highly doubt), would they be able to maintain it?

Things in Cyprus seem to built, then forgotten. A perfect case and point is a park/memorial thing that they have spent nearly a year building in Limassol. Finally they finish it, and furnish it with grass.

1 month later the grass is dead, and there is rubbish all over the place.

i think that one can be put down to drunk tourists. the memorial would be respected by locals but to a drunk it is lttle more than a big lump on some grass.

and as for the dead grass. thats just plain lazyness.

ummm...it's not really in the tourist area.... It is definately the locals

From what i see, it is ithe tourists that actually put things in the bin. The locals are the ones that throw things out car windows, dump rubbish in random spots, etc....
