@Deniz

I boiled some of the beans and tried a couple, really didn't like the taste. Plus I couldn't be bothered peeling off the skin on all of them, so into the bin they went. I am still having a hard time finding dried broad beans.

. I could post you some, but I am aware that there are very strict controls over food products from overseas. Buy the fresh beans, peel them and sun dry them. I am sure you have enough sunshine to do that. I hope you have a 'sesta'. :lol:

Deniz hoca, I am very lazy when it comes to anything to do with eating, I'd rather not eat "kuru bakla" if I had to go dry them myself. I don't watermelon if it's got too many seeds, I can't be bothered to spit them all out :lol: .

Dont worry about watermelon seeds. They wont harm you. The tales our grandmother used to tell us are just that - tales. Watermelon seeds will not germinate in your tummy and the shoot will not come out of your mouth. Enjoy the damn thing. :lol:

Deniz,

What did you do to the doc and he forbade you to eat cheese?

Does that include salt free anari? Is it forever?

I once went to a bigshot doctor who put me on a diet. He gave me one diet sheet in his office and over the inernal phone instructed his staff to give me sheet No2 on leaving. I paid, thanked him and left.

Over the next month I faithfully followed the combined sheets' dietary instructions and lost 10 per cent of my weight ie got down to 65 kilos. I went to see the bigshot and he was horrified at the weight loss.

"What did you do?" he asked. I showed him the sheets.

"But you were only supposed to stop eating lamb and chocolate" he said. His staff had given me the wrong sheet.

Fucking doctors!

Insan,

When you get to a doctor's office the years of brain conditioning take over. I was scared, he was the "expert", he gave orders, I followed them. Now I know better.

Now I recall that diet and laugh, it was a "no" diet. You open the fridge, see things and know that for each thing the command is "no".

That is why I was wondering about Deniz and the prohibition. I would have thought that salt free anari is a good fatfree source of calcium that docs say we need to ward off osteoporosis and other stuff. Oracle should tell us about this.

I was on Atorvastatin for a slightly raised Cholesterol. The side effects were such that I stopped taking them a year ago (after telling the doctor) because of the undesirable side effects. My cholesterol levels were very good when I stopped them. Recently the levels went up and am back on another Statin. This time I keep getting constant headaches. Such is the joy of life. :lol:
