I know that everyone calls this Tavvas but I learnt it as Stiffado = Anyone know if there is a difference

As far as I know .... Stiffado is like stew done on the hob whilst tavva is a braised dish done in the oven.

The Cypriot word is Tavvas so you don't have to worry about anything else...
