Excellent. This reminds me of the time I did my bedelli askerlik and we started singing Istiklas Marsi and Mucahitler Marsi in arabesk style.
I was one of the first ever to play the Mucahitler Marsi in 1964. I thought it very weak, but it grew on me. Istiklal Marsi is much better. I was in the Lyce band at the time.
But we did sing it arabesk style not as it should have been sung. One of the captains heard ad was shocked. Thankfully he was a nice man.
