Postmen - so they can bring me my bloody post!
Job Centre - word of mouth is all very well and good but if your mouth isn't Greek, your in the brown stuff.
Less chavy Brits - they seriously let the team down
A better bloody exchange rate - so us Brits can spend some hard earned!
Less construction and development companies. It really pees me off to see more lovely countryside being developed on!
Less bloody crime ! Ok there's not much compared to the madhouse in the UK but it's rising............please stop if your watching!
I would also love to see villages stay traditional and keep their charm.
I would love to still be able to in say 5 years time to leave my car open (if I forget to lock it!) and it still be there when I return
I would also love to see less opticians!

I’ve tried to avoid responding to your ridiculous posts but you make it very difficult at times…

You basically want to change Cyprus to the UK – apart from the bits of the UK that you don’t like. It really is quite pathetic IMHO.

You want villages to stay ‘traditional’ and keep their charm yet you want a high speed bus service so you can get there and have a cheap Keo?

What is wrong with collecting your post from Andreas in the village? I love to get my post, chat to some people, have a coffee, and see what is what… it is one of the great things I like about village life here.

You want less construction yet you have bought an apartment in one of the biggest, most unsightly developments in the whole of Pissouri village. Isn’t that just a little, teeny, tiny bit hypocritical?

And you want ‘less chavy Brits’…

By the way, the reason that the exchange rate is shite is to do with the economy in the UK going down the toilet – it isn’t a Cyprus specific problem.

Please don't respond then

Too late...

I'm not turning this into a slagging match - I have better things to do with my life, like going to fetch my post or visiting the local pig farmer

Enjoy the pigs...

I will, I just bought a lovely bit of leg with the skin on it, plus an extra few square metres of skin for my roast pork and crackling on Sunday!

Whose idea was it to move to Paphos? Get out of there...

2) Postmen - so they can bring me my bloody post!

3) Job Centre - word of mouth is all very well and good but if your mouth isn't Greek, your in the brown stuff! (you should speak Greek really I appreciate that)

Whose idea was it to move to Paphos? There should be a dept of labour in most major towns...

http://www.mlsi.gov.cy/mlsi/dl/dl.nsf/d ... enDocument

6) Less construction and development companies. It really pees me off to see more lovely countryside being developed on!

The more foreigners coming here the more the construction... you ARE the problem.

7) Less bloody crime ! Ok there's not much compared to the madhouse in the UK but it's rising............please stop if your watching!

The more foreigners coming here the more the crime... you ARE the problem. Crime was unheard of in Cyprus not too long ago...

8) Improved road system to Latchi/Polis. (or maybe that is a good thing keeping Oracle away  )

You're lucky there's a road connecting those two shitholes. 20 years ago that was goat-land!

Most of the problems being faced by Brits in Cyprus come down to their poor choice of location. As a rule of thumb, you should never move to where you used to holiday because such a place is not geared for locals.

Mate, I take offence of point 7.

The rest is fair enough (if speaking from Paphos of course)

1-Huge water resources with hight quality water erupting on every corner of Cyprus.

2-Overwhelming majority of Cypriots being literates not so-called literates.

3-Find myself in an idyl.

Cheaper electricty prices?

Some people have said how much the leccy is throughout summer - but I can't comment really.

The robbing bastards (electricity providers) over here milk it!
