have u ever checked a map published in turkish?its really a matter!even it is really hard for me to distinguish where is where!god!ı cant imagine how a foreigner solve this problem himself.ı checked a lot of turkish maps they dont even mention the nameKYRENAİ,which is GİRNE.or GİRNE which İS KYRENAİ.ı mean it aint matter, people r people, counries r cuntries.. ıslands r islands. anyway,if someone can inform me about the cost of a flat in Kyrenai..-Girne---to rent ---that will be cool, nite nite, thanksxx

It depends on what kind of jobs you're looking for. Compared to the south, jobs are pretty limited in the north and the pay is not that great. I would suggest trying to find your job before you get to Cyprus but internet job hunting is pretty much non-existant in the north. Do you have a reason to move to Girne? I think you might have better luck finding a job in the south.

the cost for a flat in girne will deppend if the flat is build on Greek propperty or Turkish. The prices have gone really down since the news for illegal properties in the NC have been an issue in the UK papers

Postby gibrizli_xxx » Wed Aug 24, 2005 1:33 pm

hi, although i live in netherlands, my parents do own several apartments in girne, near to alsancak. have you heard of it? its west of girne, a new and up and coming suburb of girne. if you like to rent my father charges YTL 750 PER MONTH (euros 300) inclusief of all utilitie bills and free parking, mostly we rent to dutch people but if you are interested something can be arranged i think. let me know if you are interested.

Does your dad own property that belongs to Greek Cypriots? If he does then he'll be seeing the inside of a courtroom very soon, no matter where he lives, Cyprus or Nedelands.
