Umm i can't answer to this poll ! Cos there is not my answer!

All of them can't return back! You can't sent a person who came here for 20-30 years ago and feels like a cypriot!

Others who don't feel like a Cypriot?
We can send them ALL back!

what if .... ?

What if China, in the year 2050, completed the occupation and colonisation of most of the Americas including the USA? What if they started ethnically cleansing the USA by confining its people to the central desert plains and the Amazon? By the year 2080, the Chinese in the USA say they "feel American". Does that that, and the 30 years of their occupation, make them right? Does it make them legitimate Americans?!?

There's nothing right about settlers. They shouldn't have been in Cyprus and this is not just GC opinion but TC opinion as well. However, there are settlers who came to Cyprus in 1974, and they got married in Cyprus, and they had their kids in Cyprus. Their whole life is in Cyprus and they're children are Cypriots since they were born in Cyprus. It's not right to tell these people to go back.

On the other hand, there are settlers that just came to Cyprus in the last 4-5 years, and they have no connection with Cyprus whatsoever. All they care about is to make money in Cyprus to send back to Turkey. These people should go back.

The settlers issue should be solved in a sensible way. You can't defend your "human rights" with "all settlers should go back" mentality.

I appreciate it is a difficult situation and that Turkish colonists are not necessarily to blame. The responsibility lies with Turkey.

That said, I do not think colonists have rights to be in Cyprus. Firstly, they are not legitimate citizens or residents of Cyprus, not having applied for immigration through the legitimate government. Also, they are illegally occupying dispossessed owners properties. And if human rights is not enough issue, they are also a burden on your finances! However, as they are not the guilty party, I think they should be compensated fairly so that they can apply legally for citizenship in Cyprus or return to Turkey and buy a home there. Turkey may not agree to compensate because they gave you their problem which they don't want back. This policy should be featured in a Cyprus settlement. That is my opinion.
