Temperatures are expected to remain between 39-42 degrees Celsius inland and 35-37 degrees Celsius in coastal areas throughout the week.

Heavy fog is expected in the early hours of the morning over the next few days.

The meterology office also advised people to avoid exposure to the sun for long periods of time over the next few days to high levels of UV radiation.the island is expected to emerge from the heat wave next Wednesday on the 25th.
