Is that a bouzouki or a lute?

Richard old man. There is no such thing as Bouzuki. In reality it is a Turkish Saz with faulty chords, hence known as Bozuk Saz which translates to bozuki bastardised to Bouzouki

I won't watch it. I never watch it. But I got ordered under pain of death by my good pal in Limassol who to vote for. She sent threatening messages over Facebook.

I do as I am told. Her old man is a copper! I voted and have NO IDEA who for.

Can we have a real music master explain the meaning of Bouzuki and where it came from please. My explenation came from Livanelli, one of the most loved Turks in Greece.
Any takers.
