Rooney showed a side I did not expect to see. After his injury he wanted to stay on in case he managed to score. (with a little help from his friends.)

Selfishness doesnt become you Rooney. Shame really. :roll:

Its not as if there was anybody to replace him. He would have played with crutches to stop Berbatov coming on .

He was unfit and the media so full of Messi's hat-trick (and rightly so), he thought heds emulate him. Messi is the greatest of them all. I hope he can play well as part of the Arjantinian national team.

Fergie was at fault keeping him on after the two great goals. He knew so did half the world knew he was not fit and saw his ankle giving way. F should have ignored R thumbs up.
