You have been offered good advice in these posts, all I could add is be aware as I am sure you must be. Decide what you are prepared to pay & accept then be prepared to walk away if it is not acceptable to the other side. Do not let your heart rule your head. The developer must make a profit & we must not deny him that, we need the wheels of commerce to turn, but you are the customer. The tail should not be wagging the dog. Speak to a decent conveyancing lawyer and your family first and whatever you decide I wish you the very best.

just want it known that this advert has no relationship to me or my son. I will not give my sons company name on the site.......

He happily pays for his advertising.

I see the members name seems to be a phone number....perhaps we should overload his lines...

Sorry could not resist that.

Hi Michael,

The advice in this post is great and I have printed out, I advice anyone else in the same boat as me to do the same!
We have sat down and analysed his property and price and we will hit him with our offer tomorrow!! The hardest thing is like you said, letting your heart rule your head!!! I am the sort of person when I like something I want it and I am pushing myself soooooooooooooo hard to play it cool!!!
I must have seen about 30 houses and this one is the closest to what I want so you can imagine how anxious I am feeling!
Anyway I have to thing positive and if its meant to be I will be moving in in a couple of months, if not...............................well back to the drawing board!!

Thanks for your help Michael.
