I think the "handbags" make it fun.

I mean, who wants to sit around talking about Cyprus all day? Or any other country for that matter - it'd be boring!

To be honest, at times it does get a bit too much, particularly when it turns into a slagging match between two people that could easily be conducted in PM. When it's done in jest, it's funny and so long as a person's query is answered in the thread, it's fair enough in my book.
