Aside from those benefiting from its illegalities, why should anyone, in the EU or anywhere else in the world, care for the outlaw regime in the north? Cypriot citizens, of whatever background, have the same rights as any other EU citizen - and the same responsibilities.

Just because a few thousand TCs have benefitted from illigalities, the whole of the TC community must be punished. That's the kind of democracy we fear.

A quick question then......was there an Akritas Plan ?

You'll probably say this has been discussed many many times on this and many other forums, but in light of this particular topic can someone give an honest answer ?

Doesn't look like it 74LB.

It "surfaced" so late in the proceedings (1966) that it seems it was just some way of justifying (proactively) the Taksim and the 1963 coup by the TCs.

2 replies split down the middle.

I honestly don't know which is why I'm asking.

Are you really going to even consider Oracles answer, of course she will deny it. Lets see how many other GCs do?

Only those who choose to live in the illegitimate regime face difficulties, for obvious reasons. Pending withdrawal by Turkey, the rest of the RoC and indeed the whole of the EU, is your oyster; where they can live like normal human beings, with full rights and responsibilities.

Not split down the middle at all, unless you want to believe YFred's lies.

Look at the ensuing evidence. 74LB ...

What difference would it have made if it had not surfaced in 1966? The damage was already done. The TCs had walked out. The enclaves were formed. Turkey had tried to invade in 1964, and failed.

Then, this doubtful, unsigned paper appeared 3 years later as if to justify all the atrocities...

Please, give us a break!

Well, I read on another forum that the full text of the Akritas Plan has been published as United Nations document A/33/115-S/12722 of 30 May 1978)
