Oh guys is not a nice think..

Maybe Cyprus Geological Survey need a team of good geologist..
I have experienced same landslide when I came there in 1996. This problem is only located in the south part of the island, depending on the rocks nature.
Cannot understand why cipriots prefer to realize motorways between weak rocks as those ( sedimentary cover made of softly sandstone ) instead of more resistant galleries..
Let me say – sadly – when a landslide begin to move it’s hard to stop. You may always remember that is not fair to built anything close or up to the landslide area.
Thanks “ugly man” for the picture you share, I’ve enlarged it to observate a large detachment in the central part.
In this case neither a metal grid is enough to prevent another collapse. Take care when drive along the motorway

three days??? Isn't that too long to just clean the road? Or are they going to put supports on that hill to make sure that this will not happen again?

JUST CLEAN THE ROAD? why dont you realise how landslide affects cleaning works? Did you ever play sand castle when u were a kid?
