All roads eventually lead to the RoC

New Guinness record for Limassol athlete

Limassol athlete Jamshid Turaev, 37 has managed to break a second Guinness world record, this time for the most two-finger pull ups in one minute.

At the CHS Fitness Club over the weekend, he completed 25 of the pull ups rather than the 10 which was all it would have taken to beat the record, Turaev said.

“It was very difficult but I managed to put Cyprus in the Guinness Book for the second time.”

Last year he completed 26 rear pull-ups which was enough to grant him the title of the World Guinness Record holder.

Turaev is now contemplating going on tour abroad.

Love the design of the Archbishop Makarios III Lyceum in Dasoupoli, Nicosia.

Why isn't the roof packed with Solar, both solar thermal for water and pv for electricity? There is probably enough area there to make the school virtually electrically self sufficient on all but cloudy days or in the depths of winter, if not a net producer, bearing in mind summer when the school is shut and the demand is minimal.

also, how is it cooled and heated?

I am personally increasingly of the view that, as afar as is reasonably possible all buildings should be designed to be as energy efficient as is possible.

700 students RW and I agree with STUD, the roof should've been gleaming blue with solar panels.

The American heart Institute, Strovolos, Nicosia.
In 2007 Forbes included AHI as one of the 10 hospitals worth the trip.
In 2008 CNN World Report also dedicated a short documentary for the innovative radial catheterization procedure that is performed in the Cath Lab.
The American Heart Institute was awarded the "Green Building Award 2011" from the European Commission for the year 2011
