When there were discussions of a 'sky-scaper' allmost in the heart of Kerinia, there was an out-cry by the populace with reference to the way the permit was given to the people who had made plans for the site. One of the things said at the time was that all over Cyprus there was a 'law' that limited the height of these 'sky-scapers'. Is their any truth in this?

I believe the Kerinia project has been halted/suspended....

There used to be Deniz, but because land availability has been exhausted height restrictions have now been lifted.

Unfortunately Cyprus adopted the Greek model.
Height restrictions and architectural limitations that turned Athens and Salonika into low quality concrete jungles that resemble South American favelas.

Lucky for us, we're on the road to recovery.
Greek legislation has still not budged.

I'd say payback time. They got it from the people according to Oracle and others so the land would not fall into the hands of the Moslem / catholic overlords. Would be a nice gesture. But knowing their greed, they would only donate those lands in the north part of Cyprus.
