Greek TV best in Europe!

Postby fi » Fri Jul 29, 2005 3:03 pm

I've lived for a long time in Spain, UK and shorter periods in France, Italy and Germany.

I can tell you no other country beats Greek tv!!!!! They just have a gift of being great presenters and making great shows. It's unbeleavable how but Spanish TV is for example!! It's just full of ads and no content.

It's great that such a small country as Greece can make big productions. There are like 10-15 different original programs every night. Not to mention all the morning shows that are a different form by themselves, no other country has anything similar, full of music, people chatting etc.

I'm so happy to be back watching Greek tv.

Maybe they should start exproting serials and the like.

Ever watched TRT?, i think it's pretty good.

I've only watched ERT once or twice, but no-one can beat the BBC for consistant good quality broadcasting - all other European tv is generally Euro-Trash - literally!

Well Cyprus gets all the Greek tv, Mega - ANT1 - Alpha (by RIK), Star by Sigma and Alter of course!!!!

Never watched TRT but yets ERT offers good news/etc but is somewhat dated and doesn't do any good productions. Only a few quality ones. BBC tends to repeat itself with limited news stories. Usually a lot of international stories are ignored.

Alter is just information overload hehehe you have in the news 6 "windows" with people talking and usually one on the phone. Usually these people are ministers/parliament members, university schollars so you get a pretty good discussion (and usually arguments) but it's very good for democracy.

But generally Greek tv has entertainment value. Big productions, very original, nice content, really good series with good scripts and actors.
