United snub bid for Kleberson
Saturday July 30 2005

Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed Manchester United have turned down an increased offer from Besiktas for out-of-favour midfielder Kleberson.

The Turkish outfit made a move for the Brazilian World Cup winner earlier this week, but their initial £2million valuation was rejected.

Celta Vigo have also inquired about Kleberson on two separate occasions and although they believe the player would prefer a move to Spain, they accept they do not have the cash to match Besiktas.

However, it appears both will need to come up with more to stand any chance of signing a player who cost United £6million from Atletico Paranaese two years ago.

The 26-year-old has made just 30 appearances during his injury-plagued time at Old Trafford and Red Devils officials have admitted he will move on as soon as a buyer matches their valuation.

"There have been offers even while we have been here," said Ferguson.

"We had another, improved offer from Besiktas yesterday but at the moment we know his value.

"He is a very good player, an excellent footballer and he is wanting first-team football so we're prepared to listen to some offers."

I dont even think he is good enough for Besiktas
