mr. saza:

ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY PATHOS AS IN PASSION OR THE CITY OF PAFOS? PLEASE ELABORATE SO WE CAN HELP YOU. I HAVE MANY IDEAS OF HOW TO WORK IN PASSION BUT NONE OF HOW TO WORK IN PAFOS.

Hi Saxa

..and welcome to the Mad House.

'Paphos' is the English version and 'Pafos' the official Government transliteration of the name that nobody uses.

Check out whether you can afford to live here before moving out; Paphos is probably the most expensive part of the island to live; property prices rival Nicosia and supermarket prices are the highest on the island. I have just spent an hour with the owner of the largest supermarket chain in CY!

Bar work is not well paid: maybe £12 for a 20.00- 02.00 shift; you are expected to rely on tips. There is not a major child care opportunity here; most Cypriots will handle this within their own family, most expats are way beyond the 'child' stage.

So, be cautious and do your homework before you commit to life here. But if it works out, life is a joy here.
