I noticed a trailer for this series on BBC world and thought it migh be onf interest to some here

In a world of easy adventure tourism, Simon visits breakaway states & unrecognized nations which don’t usually feature on the tourist trail: Somaliland, Transniestria, South Ossetia, Taiwan, Abkhazia, Ajaria and Nagorno-Karabkh.

"Unrecognized nations?" Wanna add occupied part of Cyprus to the list?

It's a brilliant programme, he did a first series of this too where he visited the 'Axis of Evil' countries... loved his trip to North Korea... what a strange place. That programme also made me want to visit Iran which looks incredible.

Holidays in the Danger Zone: America Was Here was also excellent, I really enjoyed his trip to Nicaragua, I think it's the same guy who is doing those Football Match things after Newsnight on BBC 2 some weeks, though I thought his Columbia vs. Venezuela one was a little bias and gave the impression the Columbian Army were entirely in the right (keep in mind this is a Government which maintains lists of Trade Union Officials that it orders Specialist Army Units to kill).

I've seen some parts of this programme and its really good.
I watch BBC world quite often as its the only english programme (apart from CNN) I get here.
At the moment I'm watching Bob Geldof in Africa.... :)
