You obviously havent travelled to see what paradises there are.

I have travelled extensively and seen some wonderful places, but I still wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

Where else in Europe , forget third word nations , would be able to sit on your veranda , as I'm doing now , topless with shorts and ...sock-less while enjoying a cool beer , I tell you nowhere !
The weather is more than fabulous is bloody marvelous , as for the women , well after seeing Mrs Kafenes I can tell you women here are the prettiest in Europe and I know a thing or 1000 about pretty women I can tell you !!
Special day today November 11th 2011 , my gorgeous granddaughter Christina is 7 years old !! Pappou naturally will take her out after school and spoil her rotten and why not !!
Back to Paradise and the beautiful weather we are now having , it makes you forget the political affairs and concentrate on the little pleasures that cost you absolutely nothing , gazing at the clear blue sky without a cloud in sight and the sun shining gloriously

Sorry Mister but I have to disagree with you there. Cyprus was a "Paradise Island", unfortuantely our Greek neighbors have turned it into a "island from HELL".

...'with a little help from our friends'.............

Of course, we were driven to it. What did you expect? Your posts are proof of your defeatist nature, real Turks/Turkish Cypriots are not defeatist like you.

I cant help being a Cypriot, a Turkish speaking Cypriot like many who know their true origins. If you feel more Turkish than Cypriot, then that is your problem. I dont feel the same as you. That is what makes people different. Perhaps one day you will learn what a Turk is without the brainwashing of Pan-Turkism an out moded ideal I'll say. Ask the Louroudjinots. They are proud of their heritage.

Well this thread is proof that you cannot even discuss the weather on the CF without it turning into a blame game of who did what to who and waddever!

Yes we do need rain. And yes the dust levels and poor air quality at times this summer were awful. And one of my favourite walking spots, the salt lake, stinks right now. But let's not begrudge Milti a few days glorious sunshine with his grand daughter. I'm making the most of it now - I hide from it in July/Aug.

And it is MUCH cooler before sun up and early morning and much cooler in the evenings too. I am enjoying long early morning walks with the dog - strolling along the waterfront, watching the sun come up whilst listening to the bugler in the army camp playing the Reveille - magic.

Sorry for the irrelevancies uttered here. I have no intention of ruining yours and Milti's dream of Paradise Island. May you both be happy.

Too warm for this time of year. We need rain, overcast conditions and lower temperatures.
Our summer is hell on earth, our winter is what summer SHOULD be!

Sahara desert conditions are not what I'd term ideal.

I accept that rain is much needed , but can it wait till I go back on Sunday ??

Don't worry, no rain forecast for the next 10 days.
Might not rain the entire month... or the rest of the year.

We are royally fu**ed.

In 5 years, this is what we'll be doing for fun. lol

You misinterpret Deniz's posts he is a good guy just more forgiving then most. But he has been through a lot at the hands of the GCs but also recognizes our part in this mess, which we must also be aware of, we were not innocent and we done wrongs some of which can not be justified by what the GCs done first. And this is from someone that has lost 6 family members at the hands of certain 'gcs' and also has 50 donums of land in pathos that the GCs are not letting us access or reclaim regardless of the the fact that we left in '68.

Cyprus is special to me, i feel different when I am there, like have come home; even though that I was born in the UK. So let us take a break from who started what and join in the celebration of this thread.
