Do you know who she is? Youd be lucky if she even considered representing a united Cyprus.

For the Turkish speaking people, the song is very likable, but I don't know how it would sound to all the non Turkish ears. For example, for a foreign listener, at times the singer sounds as if he is giving a prayer service from a minaret, which would put off a lot of the Europeans, and at times, the flute sounds like a snake charmer. There you have it.! :D

vp you're a scoundrel... i just did a translation on babelfish....

we rename all your villages
ur towns we rename too.
every street we call it ataturk
and every avenue.

we know it isn't nice
to paint flag up on hill,
turkey did it for us
then she sending us the bill.

chorus
we fix u, yes, we fix u, after '63
the north, we fuck it up real good,
and call it 'trnc'...

I couldn't get on to the "babelfish" to double check your findings.!

Its about ethnic vibes and the song definately fits the bill but the point i was trying to make is that no matter the quality of a song submitted by the TCs it would never be chosen for GCs are biased and have the power to exploit to keep us out.

Just whose ethnic vibes are you talking about here? :?

The overwhelming majority of true indigenous Cypriots with a 10,000 year old history on Cyprus, have NOTHING to do with this typically Anatolian piece.

So, it is not up to this majority to accept your Anatolian ways but rather the onus is on you to blend in with them seeing that you have chosen to stay on their island.

Anatolian stuff can NEVER represent Cyprus and that’s something you need to understand and accept.
