yes. but reasonably pleasant.

sadly symptomatic of problems here that a local wine of similar quality cannot be produced at a similar price,

I further add that Chardonnay is the grape of those great french dry whites, Chablis, and Pouilly-Fuissé, and and is found in white Burgundy generally, and is the major grape in champagne and many other sparkling wines, which are by no means gender restricted.
