wot's the roc doing?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

wot's the roc doing?

Postby ZoC » Sat Feb 26, 2011 8:27 pm

i'm over in the uk so don't have my ear to the ground in kyp - but for those who are - do you think the cypriot government, and cypriot society generally, is doing enough to capitalise on the wind of change sweeping through, both in the north and in the wider region?

wot, for example, is president chris and co. doing on the world stage, articulating the situation regarding those freedom-yearning cypriots living in the latrine who've had their fill of turkey and its cohorts and are campaigning for change? is he showing solidarity to the forces of change? is he speaking for them on the world stage? is he inviting an appropriate representative to do so? is he instilling confidence - with support (moral, financial, legal, even military?) to continue the struggle?

dunno. but it seems to me more could be done.

if this is true, why? is christofias too washed up? doesn't he have any balls? don't any of the other leaders have any balls?

and what would u want them to do, vp? why doesn't talat claim asylum and come and join forces with the president to campaign for embargoes against turkey, and freezing of its overseas assets, pending withdrawal of its army?

We were trying to discuss why your leader therefore the south do anything like invite the TCs to return to the "RoC" pending a solution working together to work matters out?

This is the first time a agree with VP.

The government officials resposible are all in the back room wan*ing.

They should be screaming about the recent admissions from Turkey, but hey, they have no back bone.

So dear ZoC, answer to your question, nothing is beig done to capitalise on this situation.

That wouldn't work.
The RoC should invest in WMD research, in association with Israel, to change the balance of power with RoT, and therefore force Turkey to withdraw her military.

i think christofias should certainly invite his old mate talat (or some new progressive leader - someone who can articulate himself properly in english) to claim assylum and start campaigning strongly together on the world stage. but we can't free the north if all the cypriots there flee it. good, brave guys are gonna be needed over there to start resisting the occupiers and agitating for withdrawal.

this sickens me. christofias can barely speak english so fat lot of good he's gonna do. maybe someone new needs to come along and take the bull by the horns. turkey's admission is dynamite and if christofias can get an appropriate tc to campaign with him, turkey's in real trouble....

sure but israel uses more than the threat of WMD to get wot it wants on the world stage... it uses political spin, guile and.... my favourite word.... chutzpah...

Boys... please be realistic about these "protests"

... they are all about self-interest

... by promoting a Right To Exist On Stolen Lands, an Apartheid Self-Governing, Sod the Rums As Long As they Pay Our Pensions and 13th Salaries, Northern State free of Run Out Of Money Turkey,

... we heard as much from Halil this morning.

Bugger all to do with any notion of Re-unification that most of the Good People of the Free Areas would be comfortable with.

Wish the protests had nobler, more altruistic aims... but they haven't.
