I know this should be in entertainment but we need a nice friendly new discussion in general chat so please, Mr or Miss or Mrs Moderator (if we have one) leave it here.

Anyone watch The Sopranos on the TV?

I decided to get it on DVD and I think it is a very good series.

Just love Dr Melfi.................Lorraine Bracco. What a woman/.

Comments and discussion welcome......

Hi,

We did not watch the series in the UK.

I was dubious as to whether my wife would actually watch, what in reality is a bloodthirsty, and sexual series.........

So I bought the first series to try out and luckily for me she has taken to the series lock , stockand barrel.

We have just watched the final episode of series 2.....bye bye Ritchie....

Series 3 we will probably watch before I disappear for a month in early September.

Thank goodness for Amazon so I can collect Series 4 and 5 whilst in the UK.

Yes Series 6 is in production but my info was a 2006 spring season launch in the States.

I find the show intoxicating........a feeling of escapism....Is it the power that "Tony" wealds, I dont know. Maybe . I suppose .

My biggest dissappointment was the scene in the 50ft Sea Ray motor cruiser where "Pussy" was shot. The interior of a Sea Ray is sumptious to the extreme with highly polished chrome and cherry wood. The set was a dismal look at a 1930's motor cruiser, drab to the extreme. I know it is only TV but the other sets seem to be well thought out. Pity but its not the end of the world.

More late nights coming.......

(puts hand up)

Another Soprano's fan here. I have seen every episode up to the end of season 5.

Season 5 definately redeamed the series in my opinion. Season 3 & 4 were a bit crap, imo.

Soprano's and Simpsons are the only things I will watch on TV.
