Quite... this Errogluey represents the Settlers and Turkey. He deliberately goes outside the UN parameters to block a settlement cos as far as he's concerned the matter was solved in '74.

... Pres X should open other channels to speak to the CYs Suffering In The Turkish Army Controlled North.

No we must give Kouroupettos and Yfred a chance to solve cyprob .

The Fam Gazette is reporting a major fall-out on this matter of "citizenship"...

..."Details of tense meeting between Cyprus leaders emerge"...

http://famagusta-gazette.com/details-of ... 492-69.htm

Married to a CY or off-spring of such a relationship should stay... the rest of the Illegal Settlers should be re-settled at Turkey's expense.

I wonder what genuine born and bred TCs think of the possibility that in a post solution Cyprus all their MPs will be mainlanders, all government posts will be filled by mainlanders and the TCs will be relegated to a tourist attraction.

There must be some TCs left who can still think out the practical results of this idiotic settler policy.

It is interesting to compare the 2000 (two thousand) naturalisations by the RoC since 1974 to the hunreds of thosuands of the TC administration. Talk about selling your country!

According to Kibris, tension reached boiling point when Eroglu’s adviser, Kudret Ozersay was trying to explain in detail that there could be no proportional limit, President Christofias gave a severe reply saying: “Thank you for your academic and detailed presentation, but I did not come here to take a lesson, I am not your student”.

i tell u wot, if there's any group that could bring tensions to boiling point, it's eroglu, his advisers and the 'vast majority' of tcs who they represent.

According to Havadis newspaper '' Talat said, they were agreed with Christofias that 50000 settler and their kids and intermarriges between TC's and settlers and third countries total will be around 62000 .

SPECIAL REPRESENTATIVE SAYS NO CORRECT TO DISCUSS FIGURES ON ISSUE OF CITIZENSHIP

Another statement regarding discussions on the issue of citizenship at last wednesday leaders meeting came from the TRNC President’s Special Representative Kudret Özersay. Commenting on the issue, Özersay said that it would not be right to focus on specific figures and numbers when discussing the issue of citizenship which falls under the chapter on Governance and Power Sharing.

He said that the two sides had exchanged views and ideas yesterday on who would be eligible for citizenship once a settlement was reached.

The Greek Cypriot Side refuses to recognize citizenships granted by the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Of course we too have made it clear to them that we do not recognize the citizenships that they have granted following the collapse of the 1960 Partnership Republic in 1963” the Special Representative stressed.

According to Alexander Downer... Erroglu is bound to carry on from where Talat left off .......

NO REVISITING OLD GROUND THAT HAS BEEN AGREED
