It is (like all dogs) descended from the Wolf, and is almost certainly a prehistoric cross between Anatolian Shephard and the Caanan dog. Influence of the Molossus is more recent and vastly overstated. Like all dogs it has had certain characteristics breed into and out of it: one bred in is that it is completely paranoid, and having sh!t in its own food bowl tries to blame the American Foxhound or British Bulldog!
