Watch Stanley Cup in Cyprus (Ice Hockey)

Postby kingtut666 » Sun Jun 05, 2011 6:30 pm

Hi all,

I am holidaying in Cyprus shortly, at Nissi Beach, Agia Napa. I was wondering if anyone knows of places nearby where I could watch the Stanley Cup Ice Hockey finals (go Canucks!!)? Unfortunately the games only start at 3am, as an added complication to finding somewhere which would show Ice Hockey.

Thanks in advance!

You'll be happy - unlike me (Go Bruins!) - to know that Vancouver won in over time last night. Sorry I can't help you with a suggestion as to where to watch the games in CY.

Sorry mate.
People are unfortunately into that mainstream collectivist 3rd world run-and-dive game. I think its called soccer.
People find it hard to comprehend the shoes with blades on a slab of ice concept.

You might find a few educated enlightened people that might be able to help you out though.

You can watch it from dodgy websites, which I'm not allowed to post here. :)

Well you would be in with a chance as you're in Agia Napa... loads of bars with screens, sports bars guess they are called... but ... but ... 3am in the morning makes it a toughy!

Congrats...
Great hockey... but that damn Bostonian accent irritates the hell outta me.

Me too!

Thanks, by the way. Did you hear about the post-game riots in Vancouver? I know hockey is the "big thing" up there, but really? It's just a game.

Yup, they turned soccer ghetto over a game.
Disgraced Canada and the hockey world. Shameful really.
