To buy the same things from Overclockers I would have to pay more than 42 euro shipping. With pixmania I paid 19 euro for everything for 2 day delivery with UPS.

As you discovered, shipping charges to Cyprus are outrageous if you need a few bits... I have an 'account' with them but use them as a last resort - plus they don't have the Zacate board that I want now! :D

I got my parts yesterday morning and got everything up an running! Now I have to decide what software I should install on it. I will probably put Boxee and Kylo for browsing. Any other suggestions?

Guys,
Try this http://www.singular-cy.com/, they have a shop based in Limassol (but their eshop is in Germany), so if you pick your stuff up from the shop, no shipping charge, 9 euros door to door, I checked and compared a few items with amazon and expansys uk, prices are good, 4 days delivery they say... worth a try, I bought a few things from them over the years in store, pretty decent.

I know about singular but last time I checked their prices were not as good. Are you sure that there is no shipping? I believe there is shipping for certain large items because a couple of years ago I asked them about ordering a monitor and there was a shipping charge. Did they change this now?

@Soto,
Just checked, I used a 24inch screen, it shows the same in the cart, 9 euros to the door(TNT shipping) and 0 if you pick up in their shop.

Just checked their prices and they seem to be more expensive than pixmania and amazon ... for the kind of things I bought at least. But if shipping is free then they might be a good deal for buying 1-2 items. How fast is the shipping? And do they act as a local shop when it comes to warranty and returns? If a product is faulty can I just return it to the shop or I have to send it to Germany?

That I have no idea, I'll see if I can ask someone in there.

I recently bought an AMD II x4 640, costs me 94 something, both amazon and expansys seem to want over 100 with shipping.. guess it worked for me... anyway, just an idea :)

Haven't ordered yet but prices look keen and when I added a motherboard to my basket it said 'UPS to Cyprus - Free'.

This seems like a very new shop ... not sure if I would trust them. Prices seem ok but not better than Amazon or pixmania (for the components I wanted). Free UPS shipping would be nice ... but something tells me this is a mistake. Let me know if you order from them and if they deliver free without any problems!

You were right... :evil:

For some reason when I came to place the order on Friday the 'free' shipping thing had gone and they wanted fifty Pounds for a motherboard, memory card and mini-ITX case.

i tried every other option and ended up ordering from Pixmania... €19 shipping to Cyprus and of course lower VAT...

New PC to be up-and-running next week! :D

Grump, what did you end up ordering? From your description it seems you went with either an Atom or the E-350. If you didn't get your things today you should get them by tomorrow. UPS shipping from pixmania is fast. Just hope that all things will be fine because the negative thing with pixmania is that their customer support is not very good!
