I too after lunching at a Zygi fish restaurant two years ago, driving towards Mazotos and asked the driver to slow down so I could take photos. Big deal, blame someone from the north if it makes them happy. We too had crossed the checkpoint.

Then again, idiocy is hard to explain so any scenario will do.

Ps. Rumor has it the same people driving the the tCypriot cars had just two weeks prior been seen walking along the same road with 11 British people and 17 Americans. Coincidence? Don't think so!! Gimme a break guys! OLD FASHIONED STUPIDITY! END OF STORY.

the main problem was probably improper storage - the news that no one seemed to know what was in all containers says it all - common sense dictates that the contentes of each container should have been carefully inspected so those responsible (up to and including Chris Toffee) knew what they were dealing with, and so proper (secure) storage and care could be provided.
