Was hoping for an Apoel goal... but anyway.

Why break yourself in the last match, if you can defend, take the draw and progress in in the second last.

A weird match in which…

1. The referee gets a direct hit on the side of the face and loses his balance! I thought he was gonna go out cold!
2. Smoke from flares disrupts the game twice.
3. Zenit players and manager were seen calling on their fans to cut the crap!
4. Temperature was a constant zero!
5. APOEL players were clearly directed not to make much of an effort on goal!

Man of the match…APOEL’s goalie Urko Pardo whose spectacular saves earned his team progress to the round of 16!

Overall, in football there’s nothing worse than goalless draws but this one served its purpose… :?
