Miss CoffeeBreak Competition

Postby Positive Vibe » Fri Aug 05, 2011 9:39 am

The competition is almost finished but it's the first time I've seen a pagent held on Facebook.

There is one girl I really like but she's losing

I don't quite know when the competition started but there's been some pretty interesting and sometimes heated discussion on the competition Wall about which girl is the prettiest.

Turns out that not everyone is fond of the rules of the competition and one of the contestants even said as much in the discussion. Personally though, I dig the format and I like girls :D plus it gives me something to do during my long boring office hours. Appranetly you've ended up voting for the winning girl at least once then you'll automatically end up in a draw to win some prize, I think LTV or something.

Here's a link to the facebook pagent (http://www.facebook.com/coffeebreakcyprus), what do you guys think?

And here's a video from the competition:

I don't like to give access to my account info to facebook apps, particularly useless ones which are created just to promote some product ;)
Access my basic information
Includes name, profile picture, gender, networks, user ID, list of friends, and any other information I've shared with everyone.

I'm not big on Facebook either as I mostly lurk around and participate in forums but Facebook is so popular with so many people that it's hard to just stay away, especially when your closest friends are all on there and participating in events and competitions there.

I don't stay away from facebook, just from such apps. Social networks are fun but you have to know how to protect your privacy otherwise you might regret it at some point. Talking about Social Networks, Google Plus might replace Facebook... Facebook could go the way of MySpace.

Oh yeas absolutely. I think Google plus has a big chance of succeeding where previous google services have failed and the big reason for that is PRIVACY.

Maybe Cyprus is a bit behind on things like this but I'm sure it'll catch on in the rest of the world in due time. I mean don't forget that 700million facebook users is stil only 10% of the world population roughly. There is that 40 to 50 percent more viables customers which have not been swtched on as of yet and that's where the frontline is gooing to be in the coming years.

As for the competition I forgot to say (as Sotos rightly pointed out) that you must have a Facebook account and "Like" before you can check out and vote for the hot girls ;)
