NICOSIA - Cypriot teenager athletes brought home gold, silver and bronze medals in the skeet categories at the European Shooting event which took place in B e l g r a d e.
The gold medal was the result of a team effort of young athletes Giorgos Kazakos, Panayiotis Kyprianou and Nicolas Vasiliou, whereas the silver medal was a result of the individual effort of Giorgos Kazakos.
The female skeet team also won two bronze, one with the national team comprising Luisa Theofanous, Andri Eleftheriou and Panayiota Andreou, and one won by Luisa Theofanous in the individual women's skeet event.
Furthermore, international Cypriot shooting athlete Valentinos Michael, whose aim was to achieve the Minimum Qualification Score (MQS) for the Olympics, was successful in his efforts, with a result of 119/125.
