It is RT got their wires crossed I think. The Russians knew that they were burnig a TC "Flag" and that is exactly what they intended to do. Just look at the other photos from the same game below (which RT did not publish for curious reasons, I would say):

The first banner reads "CYPRUS GREEK LAND"

According to the report of the magazine from where I got the pictures, and which I posted under "GO APOEL" (GR, once more, could not understand the meaning of my post) :lol:

during the whole of the game the Russians were cheering and supporting APOEL.

Correct, it was first correctly reported on the CY sports sites as exactly that.
Then the mix up occurred with some of the Russian media later.

Maybe not directly, but indirectly they fought each other for the control of Macedonia.

In addition, Serbia was one of the first countries to recognise FYROM as the 'Republic of Macedonia'. :twisted:

Now that Greece is bankrupt I wonder if Pansyfi will continue getting sponsorship from Greece so that her hooligans may hoist Greek flags and Greek fascist banners at football matches!

The funds have run dry...

They never did that. On the contrary, after the 1912 war of Hellas-Serbia-Bulgaria-Montenegro against the Turks, which resulted in Turkey being kicked out from the Balkan Peninsula, Serbia and Greece fought together in 1913 against Bulgaria which tried to grab from them territories which they had liberated from the Turks.

Any proof for that? Links? Sources? Is Greece also sponsoring Anorthosis?
