Depending on what the meaning of "cabaret" is decided on, it could be nice hehe

Thanks for the info get real, those are some great points to think about. I'd be happy being a super tech but obviously it isn't going to be easy. It definately makes the 2-3 month visit all the worthwhile. At least I can test the waters and see if I could make anything of it.

If it turns out to be an impossibility, I'll pick up what remaining dignity I have and head home.

I appreciate all the feedback guys it has prepared me for the journey.

I think overall my parents will be happy to have us all in the same country again. Right now we are split between Greece, Australia and Cyprus!

Yeah, I have come to terms with a lower salary in Cyprus which doesn't bother me (providing I can live a decent lifestyle still) I'm just worrying that salaries might be less than say 1500 a month which would start to pose a problem for me since I'll still be making loan repayments in Australia. I have an advanced diploma in Computer Systems Engineering if that would help my chances.

In the end of the day it's looking like the move to Cyprus for my family is inevitable (which is definately a good thing). I'm just very worried about not finding work at all and struggling there.

Seems like "advanced diploma" is lower than a Bachelor degree so it would not be easy to get a job with 1500 a month. Maybe about 1000 as first salary, or even less.
