Some Turkish words...

Some Turkish words...

Postby tsukoui » Tue Mar 27, 2012 12:42 pm

I am sorry if my insanity is difficult to deal with... it's certainly not making me many friends here... but such is the Cyprus problem... I am happy to live with Turks... indeed I do here in London... so much so that I have tried to learn Turkish... unfortunately there are really very few good sources... Learn Greek Online is a course provided by Kypros-Net in collaboration with the CyBC to teach the modern Greek language online... it is fantastic... but they do not offer an equivalent Turkish course... perhaps as Viewpoint says elsewhere this is because we really do not want to live together... personally I think it is a travesty... anyway below is about the extent of my learning of Turkish...

merhaba - hello

nasılsın? - how are you?

iyiyim, ya siz? - I'm fine, and you?

evet - yes

hayır - no (pronounced hayesh)

lütfen - please

teşekkür ederim - thank you

güle güle - goodbye

It's not much but it's a start... feel free to add any other words you think might be useful...

Tsoukoui, we don't need that shit here, take it to the northern forum where the carpetbaggers need it.

Please don't dirty this forum with such disgusting language.

Cheers, oh and you can keep you turkish mates and stay the F in london.

Why would you want to speak Turkish to them? Surely they should be learning English. In fact, the government is/was spending a lot of money to help Turks/TCs because they are among the lowest achievers at British schools.

- Do them a favour and get them to learn English - or even Greek (it's the most elitist language :D ).
