Personally, I'd use fedex to ship things abroad. I used to work for them in the UK for 7 years. They are very professional in what they do with a company rule being if anyone mistreats a package, its an instant dismissal, no matter who you are or who you know.

just use a local post office. they are good enough and sometimes cheaper too. I'm sure pissour areai has a post office, but ask a local to tell you where the bigger P/office is.

You can also try DHL. I think it is cheaper than FedEx.

You will find that neither FedEx nor DHL will service Pissouri or anywhere outside the large cities: you have to collect/deliver stuff from their offices. UPS will service some villages. However, I use the post office EMS service which works the same way as a courier at half the price AND they deliver to your house (you have to take stuff to send to a main PO, though, the same as the other couriers). The cost of an envelope weighing up to 150 g (I think) to Europe is £9. I regularly receive CDs from Taiwan by EMS. Posted on Tuesday morning, they are delivered to my door Thursday evening, Friday at the latest. An envelope handed in on Monday-Thursday morning before 9 am will be delivered in the UK the following day.

Hi
Thank you very much for your detailed reply. My reason for asking the original question is that I sell my primitive paintings on ebay from the UK, and have a good positive feedback score.
So my Intention was given the time I would continue painting and selling on ebay while I was In Cyprus, but was concerned that the delivery time would be maybe two or three weeks to UK and or the rest of Europe, and would start to get negitive feedback.
I have never used a chat site /forum before but I must say it has restored my faith in human nature my sincere thanks to all who have been so helpful.Sorry for prattling on but thats what tends to happen when you are retired and have more time for these things
best regards Peter

I live in Pissouri.

Andreas the local postman (the post office is in the village square, open from 11:30 to about 1(ish) will happily sell you appropriate stamps and take the package to Limassol for you. Air mail to the UK about 3 days.

UPS deliver to Pissouri (give them your ‘phone number so the driver can call you and ask how to find your house when he gets here).

DHL and FEDEX won’t come to Pissouri but have offices in Limassol and Pafos.
