Winter fuel subsidies

Postby davidp » Mon Sep 26, 2005 2:43 pm

Winter draws on, as they say.

But on a technical point, I know that residents living above a certain height receive a government subsidy towards fuel costs.

My questions are:

1, what is the qualifying height.

2, Do resident ex-patriates automatically qualify for the subsidy.

I am not sure what the 'elevation' rules are; but most years a subsidy is available to everyone! There is no distinction between Cypriots and other EU Nationals.

Thanks Lana,

I think that the elevation level is 2,000 feet but I stand to be corrected.
