Postby Pekousek » Tue Sep 27, 2005 7:10 pm

Hello!

Could anyone say what salary is usual there for emlpoyees in farmaceutical plants (or chemical) in Cyprus? Employees with university degree. Or what is average salary? If it isn't secret. I don't know how salary I can require

Thank You.

my advise is to ask for a good starting salary which isn't too high. I would say £750 pounds per month is fine but you should be aiming to reach £1000 if you have a degree. If they say £500 then tell them to F*** off because that's too low. If they offer something like £650 it's still quite low for you but they might make a promise to give you a raise in 6 months or a year. Aim for £750 if you can as it's considered a good starting salary. Employees have an expectation that their salary will increase year after year so employers may make an offer of something low (like 650) but with large increases within the 1st year.

You are allowed 13th salary by law but some employers may offer a 14th salary too. Thirteenth salary is paid at x-mas and 14th during Easter I think.

Most skilled workers and people with degrees earn anything from £750 to £1000 per month on average, it all depends on what job you might be doing and how many people you'll have under you.

Min wage: £350 -£390

Average wage: £810

What matters is the position and the company and not if you have university degree. I know people with university degrees that could not find a proper job and they work for minimum salary
