I have been to Newcastle but could not communicate with anyone as I speak only Russian and English ;-)

Seriously, people from Newcastle are extremely friendly and warm; great place to visit; but why do the guys and girls walk round the Quayside, with so few clothes on, in Winter?

The Soviet Secret police; The People's Comissariat for Internal Affairs, or NKVD. The secret police remained the most powerful and feared Soviet institution throughout the Stalinist period. Later, they become, the KGB, the “state committee attached to the Council of Ministers”. The Soviet versian of our infamous, sad and down right embarassing CIA.
